50 specialist placements for a household-name charity, delivered on time and on budget.

When recruitment spend needs to be justified, cost certainty matters.

For any large transformation programme, hiring is critical. But so is control.

A national household-name charity was preparing to embark on a multi-year Digital Transformation programme. It involved significant investment, a wide range of Technology and Change requirements, and the need to build the right team without losing control of recruitment spend.

Before committing to an agency relationship, they needed to know the cost was justified - that was completely understandable.

In the third sector, every pound has to work hard. Recruitment support has to deliver value, not just activity. The client needed confidence that using an agency would make commercial sense across the full programme, not just on a role-by-role basis.

So we agreed a different approach. Rather than working to a standard percentage fee for each placement, we agreed a total recruitment budget for the programme upfront. That gave the client cost certainty from the start.

It also changed the nature of the relationship. Instead of just managing individual roles, we could focus on supporting the pace of the transformation, and helping the programme stay on track.

Ben Woodward, Co-Founder of Accelero, said:

“Recruitment should make growth feel more controlled, not more uncertain. For this client, the priority was not just finding the right people, but giving them confidence that the commercial model made sense across the whole transformation. By agreeing the budget upfront, we were able to focus completely on delivery, quality and pace, while giving the client the cost certainty they needed.”

Our work covered the full breadth of their Technology and Change requirements across both permanent and contract roles.

Over three years, we delivered 50 placements, supporting the transformation through each stage and helping the client keep the programme moving on time and to budget.

The relationship also lasted beyond the transformation itself - they are still a client today.

That matters because the strongest recruitment partnerships are not built around individual fees. They are built around trust, delivery and a shared understanding of what the organisation needs to achieve.

If you are planning a major Technology or Change programme and need recruitment support that gives you confidence on both delivery and cost, we should talk.
