Can you build an entire tech team in just 14 days? Yes you can because we did it.
Fourteen days. Eight hires. One awkward location.
Most hiring briefs have a little give in them. A timeline that's ambitious but not impossible. A location that's fine, really. A team that's two or three roles, not eight. This wasn't that straightforward.
The call came from a software business we'd worked with before. They needed a full tech team of developers, testers, a scrum master, a project manager, all built from nothing. Eight people. In situ within six weeks.
Six weeks sounds reasonable until you do the maths. By the time you account for notice periods, the real window to source, interview, and close every single candidate was closer to two weeks. And the location? Not a city where tech talent congregates. Not somewhere with a deep bench of available developers sitting around waiting.
The brief, plainly stated, was hard.
We went wide immediately with every source, every database, every outreach channel running in parallel, not in sequence. And simultaneously, we scheduled the client into a structured process before the first CV landed; pre-booked interview slots, feedback calls with fixed turnaround times, stage deadlines that both sides honoured.
The result? All eight roles. Done.
The client had expected it to be tough - which is why they came to us, they knew we’d be able to handle it. What they didn't quite expect was the fortnight. They said as much afterwards. Speed, quality, determination. Those were their words, not ours.
There was no big secret, just putting to work our tried, tested and refined 14 day process that all of our candidates are placed.
